Amidst its evolution from a smartphone manufacturer to a comprehensive technology powerhouse, Xiaomi is ambitiously venturing into various sectors, ranging from home automation to transportation and digital services. With its strategic initiative labeled “Human x Car x Home,” the company is crafting an interconnected ecosystem aimed at seamlessly integrating with numerous aspects of everyday life.
Recently, Xiaomi made its debut in the network-attached storage (NAS) market by unveiling the Xiaomi Smart Storage device. Available in 4TB, 8TB, and 16TB versions, this product quickly gained traction, receiving over 30,000 orders within the first hour of its crowdfunding launch. Beyond mere storage capabilities, the device is equipped with features such as multi-device backups, remote file access, 4K media streaming, and AI-driven photo management.
Expanding its product range far beyond the realms of smartphones and televisions, Xiaomi now offers an array of items, including tablets, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, air purifiers, routers, home appliances, smart lighting solutions, gaming monitors, electric scooters, coffee machines, portable printers, and even electric vehicles. Central to this expansive ecosystem is HyperOS, Xiaomi’s proprietary software platform designed to connect devices across both home and automotive environments, ensuring a cohesive user experience while maintaining affordability and accessibility.
This strategic approach has yielded significant financial success for Xiaomi. In the first quarter of 2026, the company reported revenues of 99.1 billion yuan, accompanied by a net income of 4.72 billion yuan. For the entire financial year of 2025, Xiaomi achieved a record adjusted net profit amounting to 39.2 billion yuan.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has made notable strides in the electric vehicle market, having delivered 600,000 vehicles since its entry into the sector. The company projects that total deliveries will reach 550,000 units by the close of 2026. By blending consumer electronics, smart-home devices, digital infrastructure, and electric vehicles, Xiaomi is solidifying its status as one of the world’s most ambitious technology enterprises.
