The State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority of Oman took part in the 27th gathering of Deputy Heads of GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions, which was conducted online. Among the topics on the agenda was the preparation for the 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in Auditing and Accounting. This annual competition fosters innovation and excellence in the field, encouraging research that can contribute to the development of auditing standards and practices. Additionally, participants considered a proposal to create an artificial intelligence-driven platform designed to streamline the committee’s work and document its outcomes effectively.
The meeting also focused on reviewing the recommendations that emerged from previous research competitions. These recommendations are crucial for shaping future activities and ensuring the continuous improvement of auditing practices across the GCC. Furthermore, discussions included the evaluation of training programs that are scheduled to occur in 2025 and 2026, aiming to enhance the skills of professionals engaged in the sector.
