Anthropic Secures $30 Billion, Valuation Soars Beyond $380 Billion

Must read

Anthropic has raised $30 billion in new investment, driving its valuation to $380 billion and more than doubling the $183 billion figure from its September funding round. The dramatic valuation increase reflects continued technological advancement and strong commercial traction.

The funding round was spearheaded by GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, and Coatue Management. The deal represents one of the largest private capital raises ever recorded, demonstrating the scale of investment flowing into the AI sector.

The company reports impressive financial performance, with annualized revenue of $14 billion. Anthropic has accomplished tenfold revenue growth in each of the past three years, a growth rate that places it among the elite performers globally.

Claude Code, which launched for general availability in May 2025, has been a significant revenue driver. This AI coding tool has gained strong market acceptance among enterprises looking to enhance developer productivity through artificial intelligence.

Despite substantial spending on computing resources and talent, Anthropic forecasts improved financial efficiency. The company expects cash burn to decline to approximately one-third of revenue in 2026 and just 9% by 2027, with profitability targeted for 2028.
