India set the stage by posting a formidable total of 211/6, thanks to a dynamic start by Abhishek Sharma and a critical late innings by Tilak Varma. Abhishek’s rapid half-century propelled India to 81/2 during the Powerplay, the team’s highest score against Pakistan in T20Is at that stage. Despite Pakistan’s bowlers, including Arafat Minhas, Ahmed Daniyal, and Abrar Ahmed, attempting to stem the flow of runs by taking crucial wickets in the middle overs, India managed to rebuild their momentum.
Tilak Varma was instrumental in ensuring India crossed the 200-run threshold, contributing an unbeaten 51 off just 22 balls. His 62-run stand with Shivam Dube, who added 27 runs, proved vital in setting a challenging target of 212 for Pakistan.
