Russia “can’t be taken over” in its war with Ukraine, Ambassador Denis Alipov declared, citing the nation’s nuclear deterrent as the primary factor.
Alipov, speaking at an event in Gurugram, said the “simple” reason for Russia’s invincibility is its nuclear arsenal.
He noted that this is not an empty threat, as Russia’s official military doctrine allows for the use of nuclear weapons in the event of an “existential threat.”
This reality, he argued, makes European hopes for a Ukrainian victory “childish” and “unprofessional.”
He also claimed that Donald Trump “understands” this, suggesting the former US president recognizes the war “is lost by Ukraine and the West,” unlike the “belligerent” European nations.
