Bahrain Cabinet Reviews Key National Initiatives and International Achievements

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, where the session focused on advancing national priorities, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating Bahrain’s achievements in various sectors.

The Cabinet expressed anticipation for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s upcoming address at the opening of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term, emphasizing its role as a guiding framework for national development. It directed ministries and government entities to enhance coordination with the Legislative Authority to sustain the Kingdom’s progress.

The meeting highlighted major developments, including McLaren’s Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship victory, Bahrain’s top global ranking in the 2025 Microsoft Showcase Schools Program, and continued efforts to provide three job opportunities for every registered Bahraini jobseeker by 2026. The Cabinet also noted the success of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s recent visits to the Vatican and Italy, which strengthened Bahrain’s diplomatic and cultural ties.

Economic updates revealed a 2.5% GDP growth in the second quarter of 2025, driven by a 3.5% expansion in non-oil sectors. Progress on employment and training goals under the National Labour Market Plan (2023–2026) was also reviewed, with 78% of employment and 108% of training targets achieved.

The Cabinet reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to combating human trafficking, advancing education and health partnerships, and supporting peace efforts in Gaza. It concluded by emphasizing the importance of sustaining Bahrain’s development momentum across economic, social, and humanitarian fronts.
